Phillies Game-Day Experiences — Each year, the lucky winners of this donated auction item get the opportunity to embark on an unforgettable experience, gaining access to the field before a home game to watch the Phillies players and coaches during pregame warm-up and batting practice.

JCHAI's Member Advisory Committee collaborates in the development and co-creation of programming. Last year, our member self-advocates asked for more trips and outings at a variety of price points, and we delivered!

 Special Vacations is coordinating with JCHAI to ensure that JCHAI and AADD members have the opportunity to travel together and spend quality time with friends and favorite staff members, while visiting exciting destinations.

The Jersey Shore, Vegas, & More! — Last month, members of JCHAI and AADD had a fabulous time in Wildwood, NJ hanging out with new friends from Special Vacations. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, the beach, shopping, rides, games, delicious treats on the boardwalk, art, music, and nightly entertainment, including a talent show on the last night!

Healthy living and wellness initiatives are nothing new to JCHAI members! At our Education Center in Bryn Mawr, members regularly get their sweat on at adaptive fitness classes with EmpowerU Fitness.

Last month, EmpowerU brought their fun and engaging workouts to our Buxmont Hub for the very first time, with a class taking place at Regency Towers in Willow Grove.

We’ve recently joined forces with the Association for Adults with Developmental Disabilities (AADD), representing a pivotal step toward greater collaboration between two experienced organizations with rich histories and proven track records.

Both JCHAI and AADD were started by families with the simple goal to ensure that their children could live full and productive lives just like their other children.

Today, with complementary programming and minimal overlap in members, our affiliation provides an opportunity to reach more individuals and families with a wider range of services and expand our impact throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

Together, JCHAI and AADD will ensure that more adults with disabilities can fulfill their life aspirations and live without limitations.
